I've written far more about right wing political violence—two books in fact (Denying History & The Moral Arc)—than left wing political violence. I'm concerned about it now because it energizes the far right. But that's not why it's wrong. It is because violence harms/doesn't workhttps://twitter.com/gorskon/status/1147889165171875840 …

Straw man. No one said it is. However, your obsession with left wing political violence to the exclusion of right wing political violence, which by any reasonable measure is a far greater problem, promotes a false narrative in which the left comes across as uniquely violent.

Dumbfucks. Sorry might seem a touch violent. Might figure it out one of these days.

Violence works when you go till the end. Just check the large numbers of genocides that simply removed the enemy from the picture (included the American genocide of native Americans). How can you say it doesn't work? You kill all by your enemies and you rule. Happened a lot.

He’s correct, just requires people that will give up their humanity to make it work.

It’s like the pendulum. The more it swings one way, the more it’s going to swing the other. Mirrored by politics and the reason we should stay away from any politician on the far left or far right.

It "doesn't work"? By what measure? How many great re-alignments in human history have been driven by violence?

Not on social media you haven't—or I bet you would have cited it. I'm referring to the here and now. I read Denying History nearly 20 years ago. The book was published in 2000. I have not read The Moral Arc, which was published 4-5 years ago.

My point has been that you've changed. You've latched on to antifa and focused almost exclusively on it over the last couple of years or so, as if it's the only source of political violence out there. So you were fine in the past? Great! You're not fine now, though!
