There are plenty of validated tools already out there in social science to assess political alignment. Why are you reinventing the wheel to prepare one of your own that's not validated? At least, that sounds like what you're doing.

Data don't make science when you start with a conclusion and then create a survey in order to give you the data that support that conclusion.

Me & 2 homeopaths are preparing a scientific survey to administer to as many homeopaths as we can so that we can put some numbers to the claims that homeopathy is "medicine" or "bullshit" or whatever. Anecdotes do not make a science. Data do. Am I making a science too?

This is a false analogy. But so easy to scorn instead of think. These homeopaths could conduct a survey if most lean left or right, and it gives perfectly useful statistics for how homeopaths are divided (no more no less).
