I mean in endgame there's only one scenario where they beat Thanos, and in that one Tony dies, so looking at the logic of Doctor Strange in Ep 4 of What If, Tony Stark's death is a fixed point, and therefore he HAS to die
What If…? should really be retitled “how many times can Marvel Studios kill off the already-dead Tony Stark in a nine-episode series?”

Hasn't Tony medically flatlined several times at this point in *any* Marvel timeline? Killing Iron Man and then bringing him back to life is, like, nearly on the employment test for potential Marvel writers at this point.
