There's obviously an expansion of the covenant. I'm curious about what this means for gender dynamics. As Xianity grew, there were (& are) many female converts who come to Christ apart from their husbands & households. What are the larger implications of that for church practice?

You are asking all the right questions. My family is Baptist, but recently began attending a Presbyterian church. I'd been a longtime member of my church, but my husband was not. Now, at the new church, I can't become a member without him, leaving me distanced from the community.
