I know what you're saying, but that's not quite true. See Anselme Bellegarrigue's 1850 "Anarchist Manifesto." And Emile Armand (turn of the century century, France) said that "an abyss separates anarchism and socialism."

Also, needless to say, the "socialism" from Tucker and other American individualists was very different from even the "socialism" of contemporary social anarchists.

How does this work? In a Judeo-Christian sense a la 1 Samuel 8? Other than that model, socialism seems to require far more government that an anarchist would be prepared to accept. Legit curious.
