This is the same argument for things like the PatriotAct/ NDAA “You must surrender your 4th, 6th, and 8th amendment rights, because someone else, somewhere else may or may not be a terrorist.” There is no moral or legal argument for punishing me for my neighbors actions.

Now that I think about it, this is the premise for the enforcement of Social Justice. “For the greater good, we can, and will subject you to the punishment for the sins of others.”
