This is somewhat factual. In my genealogy work I rarely see people who immigrated from Ireland at all (even Northern Ireland area) prior to the Rev. War. Irishmen were here as indentured servants but they were not the Irish from the potato famine wave that came over later.

As an aside, a great many of the colonists during the Great Migration were British (Scots, Welsh, English, etc...) and aside from that, I'd say German and even French.
