I was at the pyramids in Guatemala. The steps were perfect height and depth, every single one. Went back to my hotel, modern, the steps were uneven. Modern building codes not as good as ancient work

@questrading One way would be with voluntary third party certifications such as Environments for Living and others that certify homes to certain standards of comfort and energy efficiency. Already widely used in states with minimal codes. -
As well as in states with a lot of customers interested in going well beyond minimum codes
