I don't understand people's inability to understand that a "case" doesn't mean death, or even hospitalization. We're logging someone who caught a virus. My daughter's unit is about to be converted back to only a cardiac ICU if things keep going as they are, ie. going well. 1/2

She's noted that the acuity waxes and wanes, but right now, despite news "reports" that we're inundated and running out of ICU beds, this just isn't reality. It's behaving exactly as we'd expect a flu-like virus to behave. It's staving off in some areas, and spiking in others.2/2

How many people is Germany testing a day? ... Versus how many the United States is testing a day? What does "cases" really mean? How convenient that that VERY PERTINENT information is ALWAYS left out of their reports and Tweets--snide (uninformed) comments.

Deaths/case is the crucial metric. Increased "cases" (due to increased testing) and stagnant deaths = good news.

Isn't more cases faster better all else being equal? Sooner people get it the sooner they are immune, so it is a good thing that we have more cases Trump warned us we would be sick of winning
