I did vote for #2 - on the MM grounds. With Marxist defined latitudinarianly to include marxoids, Deweyites, the broad usual suspects, Fabians (self-styled or American gradualists), and so forth. Gramscian-Marcusians et al as later contributors but also J. S. Mill (late career).
