My favorite is when people see an undercover video at a restaurant kitchen that is filthy and their response is "without fda/osha/regulation see how bad it would be!" But dude...we have those things now and this still happens so how is this not an argument to try something else?

It's a good foil to authoritarianism. If it fully achieved its aims I am not convinced that it would be better than now, nor that it would last and not pave the way for worse things. But generally when is partially achieve its aims thats cool
