REMINDER Calvin Coolidge made his name in politics by taking on the police union, who walked off their job in Boston a century ago. As he put it, "There is no right to strike against the public safety, anywhere, anytime."

It's not helping public safety if you're suspended/fired and charged with a crime for doing your job either. Calvin Coolidge was awesome, but he hadn't seen anything like this.
