Cops are likely to get into life or death situations because of their job, especially now and they fear if they defend themselves they will be charged with murder. Tough situation for someone making maybe 50k a year

It is not a particularly dangerous job, statistics show it is not in the top ten most dangerous occupations in the US and the leading cause of police death is single vehicle accidents

As sheriff, I took a poorly-run office & brought it state & national accreditation & stood against the "code of silence". And worked to get rid of those bad LEOs. The biggest obstacle I had? Police unions. Tell me, what have you done to fix the divide between LEOs & the public?
