This is the conservative version of the wage gap, something repeatedly disproven yet still constantly repeated as fact if they were driven primarily by ad revenue they would attempt to adjust strategy when ad sales droppedhttps://twitter.com/chadreiling/status/1263559936199426049 …

Their "if it bleeds it leads" tactics are geared at selling advertising. Fear -> clicks -> more ad $. #EnemyOfThePeople #ControlaVirus #Plandemic @FREEasFLUK

they're not beholden to ad dollars, they're financially backstopped by dark Intelligence capital firms

Did Ad sales drop across the board? I believe NYT switched from free to a subscription based model because of that, if memory serves. I wasn't in marketing at the time, so I'm not sure what CPMs were. Now I want to compare CPMs to content analysis. This is interesting.

Conservatives don’t understand these highjinks are their way of rushing a gun turret or throwing yourself onto a grenade. Not “doing it for the money” is a version of bravery for the great good, or “history,” or something else mythological.

I agree that spinning a narrative is at least as important as ad $ (if not more). They continue to adjust to ad rev declines w more and more salacious headlines - with the precipitant effect of driving panic for return visits (and more willful secession of liberty).

I wish they were only driven by revenue. They’re seemingly driven by ideology and narrative building, which is scarier.

The unfree press does just enough “news” for their most loyal readers/listeners to never consider them un/anti news. Those who discover it isn’t enough are likely to take the red pill.

One possible exception to this: Doesn't it seem like the corporate press is primarily driven by ad revenue or at least, catering to their core demographic rather than obsessing over racism, when it comes to cases of missing white women? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missing_white_woman_syndrome …

Do you think the cathedral and some corporations have a huge overlap in wants. You can watch CNN and see Boeing and Lockheed Martin ads, I don’t think the average CNN viewer is trying to decide what kind of commercial jet to buy
