MLK Jr. was given that name after his dad visited Germany and named himself as an adult after MLK Sr. MLK Jr. at the time was like 5 or something. Dude spent his first 5 years named Michael. Kinda funny. Learned that from the Metaxas biography audiobook (which was great)

If I recall correctly, wasn't the Church mad at Galileo because he was teaching things he could not prove (yet) as fact, and they were ethically against that? As opposed to simply being scared the earth wasn't the center of the universe.
