One of the big complaints when the Constitution was up for ratification was any lack of penalty for its violation. In hindsight, that does seem like an important oversight.

If prehistory was anarchist due to many small self governing tribes, and states developed over time anyway, what makes it possible for anarchy to work today? Technology like digital currency?

Everything now is different from how it was when the first states formed. Weaponry, organization, knowledge, technology, internet connectedness, blind obedience to a priesthood by a whole society, etc etc.

If the world ran on commonsense where would we be? I think it would be a much sadder place, if possible. It's the crazy ideas and the people who see them through that make life better. The Constitution is a crazy idea. I'm not ready to give up on it.

But is it the fault of the document itself, or is it down to those unscrupulous enough to exploit literally anything, and the document has actually even saved us from worse? I also huff cleaners on occasion, so i could be a little bias here to the concept.

I posed a question to 1A lawyer Mark Bennett, expecting him to be downright patriotic in defense of the constitution. Instead, he just gave me more food for thought. I'm not even making an argument here. Just found the perspective interesting and wanted an excuse to share it.pic.twitter.com/mvnMEXJkdz

If you're talking about a product, you're absolutely correct. The U.S. Constitution is a great deal more than a "thing." It is a revolutionary idea, a philosophy distilled by geniuses from the basis of the successful Western civilizations that preceded them.
