i was in college and i had been reading a book about biblical contradictions, and was addressing them with my Christian buddy Sean Sherrod and he put his hand on my shoulder and very amiably said, "Michael, there is nothing you can tell me that is going to change my mind."

it was really such an eyeopening moment and he was right. getting him to change his mind would have been of no value to me anyway. i was never a fedora.
