I'm anti-democracy, in the same way Dave Smith put it. But I always see it as my business to some extent when I see an injustice. (Not that I personally do anything about it, so maybe not that much my business...)

That's fair enough, discretion is the better part of valor. The problem is that there is a narrative inherently being snuck into the framing of the event when in reality the disagreeing parties probably agree on more than is let on. (I.E. is citizens arrest justified)

it is incumbent upon *someone* to engage with it. maybe not me, the casual observer who is not a part of that community, but that man's family certainly has to engage with it. who is responsible for justice?
