I've argued that the conservatives have it backward, that rather than the press being a wing of the DNC it is more often the corporate press who governs (to some extent) both parties.

I'd encourage my conservative friends to compare the behavior of Democratic officials--especially those in executive roles such as governors--to that of corporate journalists these days. IMO it's night and day.
