it's like the opposite of improv. instead of "yes, and" it's always "no, because" and a refusal to accept another's framework (one that can easily be ignored.) it should go without saying that i block these people immediately.

I think its partly defiance, but also a way to signal to their in group. If they name a name, people will attack them like they support everything said celeb supports.

They know their answer to your question, but they don't think answering your actual question is that interesting, so they substitute their own question and answer that one. It's sort of "So what you're saying is..." but in reverse, "What you should've asked was..."

I think it’s just such a derivative exercise. I scroll to find something interesting and new to consume. Not to participate in something that’s been done ad nauseam. But I try to keep the hate to myself unless I’m in a crappy mood.
