If you actually read her essays on ‘hippies’ you’ll see she found them to be the least rebellious people on earth. Regardless of what they said about ‘the man’ they obeyed all the establishment’s rules with dogged consistency.

And here we disagree... but let’s save it for the podcast. Remember politics, economics, and ethics were not separable to her, but integrated and interdependent. Given what I know of Rothbard’s orientation to liberty (which I only know from the Manifesto and a couple other works)

It seems to me he 1) made liberty an end or ultimate value (not a means to attaining an ultimate value) 2) and consequently, set liberty free from reason. Hippies were also untethered by and hostile to reason and put feelings forward...
