So...they do not want a very intelligent kid in an impoverished area to cultivate their potential in a better school? They’d rather just let them squander it? So compassionate. Yeah, teachers could be paid better if the union didn’t control wages and protect shitty teachers.

Story from 25 years ago, someone who had been teacher n public schools for 19 yrs told me when students took test 2 see who was gifted or not the female teachers threw results up n air, put them n catergories randomly not based on the tests at all...he quit aftr that...last straw

This should be an immediate concern of ppl who wld find it, at the very least, unprefferable to have stupid/unqualified ppl in positions that are of import to the maintenance of any infrastructure[s]

I don't begrudge intelligent students anything at all. As someone who routinely tests intelligence, I'm always thrilled when a student is one of the cognitively elite. I support charter schools when appropriate, but I also support public education, which is still essential.
