I think primarily his views on social injustice stayed the same and he ultimately lost his life in the quest for it so I think there is truly only one way to view his thoughts on racism and bigotry.

I think they would also be aware that he his thoughts were corrupted over time making his later thoughts invalid and that he developed a deeper understanding over time making the earlier ones invalid.
