The left's treatment of the working class (and minorities) is akin to the pharmaceutical companies' and the people that take their drugs. There's no gain in solving promises or curing diseases, but continued promises and making patients feel better are a long term gravy train.

Implicit tyranny has a much longer shelf life than explicit tyranny. It’s a lot easier to rule someone when you’re pretending not to. But people catch on eventually, so you gotta keep changing up your target demographic.
