i had to start squats from scratch bc I wasnt going ATG and it took forever but I finally got back to repping 200 again, which is pathetic and arbitrary but damn if the brain doesn't feel accomplished

This time of year is particularly rough for me, but was pleasantly surprised to see that I’ve reached my current weight goal. It was like a pat on the back.

Love you and proud of you! Also thanks for the postcard while I was sick. It meant a lot to me.

Yeah, my squat, deadlift, and bench didn’t improve but my shoulder press did this week. Felt good.

Saved me from major anxiety issues I was having in my mid-20s. I bascially would go to the gym early in the morning becuase my sleep was so fucked up. The intense workout balanced my chemistry out. I regained my appetite and everything. It was almost miraculous in a way.

I might have to do this exact thing, my sleep is so bad

Until you get anxiety and depression because you can only do two reps of the deadlift you crushed last week for 3 sets of 5.

Agreed. I’m old so I swim laps, but every mile I do is a quantifiable accomplishment that makes me feel like I’m still in shape. It also helps with arthritis.

I quit carbs, pre workout, and monster for similar reasons. Very quantifiable results
