They are a "reverse huber", system. Rather than having to spend the night in prison, and be able to leave to go to work, they let you spend the night at home, then go back to prison for 8-10 hours.

I like to play “same/diff” to show my kids how to avoid poor comparisons; the “diff” list for public high school versus prison is remarkably short!

Last time I checked you weren't allowed to leave prison. Not only do children leave every day, but parents can even homeschool or change schools. They may be "prison like", but literal means they are prisons. Not just similar in a few ways.
