The scariest aspects of Germany are the results of the 2017 federal elections. Take the maps from 2017 and put them above the 1933 Reichtag election. Look at the Nazi voters then, and Die Linke and AfD today. A match.

You shorten too much. SED ruled GDR. Stasi was a part of that nation but not every supporter of Stasi was SED member - vice versa. It is a long and 30 years lasting way from SED via PDS to today's Die Linke. You have to really look at the people and less at the party in total.

Nope. Because that wasn't real socialism, you see! The crimes of communism aren't taught in German schools. It's 13 years of learning about national socialist Germany with a sprinkling of WW1 in between. I don't think communism was ever mentioned during my state "education".
