It's funny too because in Trudeau's first term he ran on electoral reform (ending first past the post), which he then reneged on. Had he fulfilled his promise, he would have lost this election.

We would have the same result only the Liberals with less seats and the NDP and Greens with more.

To be fair, in Canada, we have more then 2 parties to choose from and the NDP would be considered “Progressive”. Which also hurt the Liberal vote with people not happy with Trudeau
