Love the recommendation of magnesium. I'm using
@PureVitaminClub Broad Spectrum which has four different types in it with no crap or fillers. It's about 26-28 a bottle. It's the one supplement I never miss. -

Not to sound like some "essential oil soccer mom", but herbal tea with valerian knocks me out, and I wake rested. Can also be used for other stress-related issues.

If you have too much. 1mg is a good start, 3mg is very high and will overactivate my sleep.

It's not great on its own, or in large quantities. 2.5 mg melatonin 12.5 mg doxyalamine succinate 500 mg GABA I wake up well rested at 5am or earlier without an alarm clock. And this is coming from someone who used to depend on alcohol to fall asleep.
