Quote is "Like nothing ever seen before." Not "Looks like nothing ever seen before." If the similarities begin & end at a vaguely similar outward appearance, there's no problem with the wording. A toy spider "looks like" a spider, but is it "like" a spider in any meaningful way?
if you watch the vid it is identified as a sea cucumber (which a sea pig is as well) so it both looks like and is related to things seen before.
