One of the most underrated and misunderstood ideas that the vampire novelist Ann Rand put forward is that we should be of value to those we associate with. A quality person makes the lives of those around them much better, and takes pride in doing so.

If you’re able bodied, not the victim of child abuse, and/or not subject to institutional racism, should you take pride in being ’quality’ to people? (w/o realizing your privilege) Does this statement deem downtrodden, mentally ill, and/or exploited people of less quality?
