Depends, to what social class they see themselves as aspiring to be. If middle class, their pseudo pity for the poor to justify power over their lives and denying them self determination, and their despising of the rich, is blanketed under their racial self-flagellation.

I’d guess overall most people of any race have very weak out or in group preferences. I would think in-culture preference would be much more prevalent, and a certain culture can overlap many different races

No, entirely in-group preference based on politics. It doesn't matter what color you are, if you don't agree with them, you are the out-group and they want nothing to do with you.
