That was a while ago. And the world of banned people who weren't actual Nazis was pretty much Milo and Chuck Johnson. The story is a very different one now.

Dave will get an Owen Benjamin or Nick Fuentes or Vox Day on if he’s serious about getting all voices heard. It isn’t 2016 any more

I get what you're saying but Dave does a particular type of show. Owen just doesnt jive with what he's trying to do. He wants deeper convos. I dunno. I appreciate what Rubin has done and is doing.

I was just struck by how his tweet about having the old Alt Lite guys on sounded really apologetic. And considering the significance of social media banning, the fact that it was two years ago - right before the censorship push- struck me too.

Dave doesn't want to be deplatformed, obviously. He sees how hard they came at
@TuckerCarlson and how easily the platforms cave in, and he wants to keep earning a living. I am intimately familiar with what it looks like when that happens. So Dave's being very rational.3 replies 3 retweets 18 likes -

Are the platforms really caving or are they looking for an excuse to do what they already want to do

I think most social media businesses would welcome, rather than ban, controversial, legitimately non-offensive, content and personalities. These draw users to the platform, make their logons stickier, generate news and throw off cross-links across platforms.

They're afraid of corporate- and state-backed left-wing activists and radical Muslim regimes, however. So the agree to slice off what are described as fringes and pay these gangsters tribute rather than risk their wrath. But like all blackmail, there's never an end to it.

i dont think they are capable of perceiving the difference between "controversial" and offensive so the outsourcing is often akin to a seeing eye dog rather than fear

They can't - now, that is, because the Overton Window is always moving. So yeah, just give up and ask the moderate terrorists at CAIR what to do. But if you went back to 2016 and said hey, ban
@PrisonPlanet, ban@officeofmike - they'd have no trouble seeing how silly that is.2 replies 1 retweet 14 likes -

They're also getting ready for the 2020 election. It was entirely predictable that they would cull non-leftist influencers on social media so as not to repeat the "mistake" of the 2016 election.
