To be fair I think they realize it's more than just a clump of cells but it's easier for them to justify it if they just call it a fetus... And seeing them argue at 8 months it's no different in terms of whether it's a life then at 3 weeks proves it

When it’s born. This isn’t really all that difficult.

Some pro-choice people don’t think it is a human being, but I have encountered quite a few who think it is a separate person but since it can’t live outside on its own it is ok or even more humane to kill it instead of removing it. I really don’t understand this thinking

Not to quibble but I think “person” is the distinction. It’s anti science to say a fetus is not a human being. But we say a corporation is a person so why can’t we say a fetus isn’t one. Humanness doesn’t have to enter into it.

Just have them define when a person becomes a human being then. Have the conversation from there. If they define a human as first breath they are either willfully ignorant or plain evil. There is a reasonable middle ground closer to 8 weeks.
