It could improve any one persons experience, but I don’t see how it could improve it as a whole. There isn’t really scarcity in the number of posts that can be housed on Facebook per se

If Facebook aspires to be a “normal” site for “normal” people — roughly comparable to a corporate office or maybe a church — then some “curation” of their users seems completely justified. I wouldn’t say the same about YouTube or Twitter, which serve a different function.
