Yes it is called pragmatism. We must be good to others so that they will actually help us achieve our goals. So many people don't understand this simple rule.

It’s not accomplishment that’s unethical, it’s Pride. Rand was wrong in that she seemed to consider Humility the sin, & Pride the virtue.

They don't think it's accomplishment to make so much money because they are weak on economics. They are also naive about what past times were like and have this guilt about humans exploiting the earth.
