What if someone makes well north of that? They still take most the income. For instance: $200M income, if you tax over $50M at 70%, and say 35% for under, total tax bill amounts to $122.5M. Compared to $140M if you taxed the whole thing 70%. It’s a scam of epic proportion.

Of course rich people are afforded mobility and will simply leave. They already move to more tax advantaged states. No reason why they won’t go to another country.
