Always thought it was due to some idea that being hot and sweating more would help lose weight faster like a sauna or something.

I try and avoid having to take the additional time to change and lock my stuff up in a locker. If it’s cold out, I wear sweatpants and a hoodie so I can just go straight to lifting and then leave immediately afterward. If it gets too hot I can always just take off the hoodie
