The corporate press has a nasty little technique they use that's either become ubiquitous or I've simply started noticing it. When they first mention a Bad Person in their article, they will as an aside immediately brand them with the most stigmatizing descriptor possible.

It works like this: "Person x, [horrible and dubiously relevant information], said that..." I will update this thread as I encounter this tactic from the corporate press playbook.
