May I correct the formula? Win-Win-Lose-Lose: - Win for the perp (no theft <$1000 prosecuted in SF) - Win for Security officer — who will not be dragged through mud for stopping an “oppressed victim” - Lose for Walgreens (obvious) - Lose for society (Broken Windows theory)

It’s amazing how a simple concept that had been obvious for thousands of years — since practice of trade came about — that an item stolen from a place of business is a LOSS to that business, does not seem obvious to too many people these days. (Insurance, etc is irrelevant)
