"This campaign needs to succeed, then we'll make the decisions afterwards." Not very re-assuring from Starmer on #Ridge right now.

"Why did you say you wouldn't speak to The Sun?" "We were in Liverpool." Explaining the answer you gave according to the audience you were speaking to isn't great politics.

That's the kind of fiery, principled stance that'll rebuild the Red Wall.

Err that is exactly what politicians do. Give the audience that they are speaking to the answer they want to hear. I’ve heard prominant speakers of the protest left do exactly the same.

Exactly. Each time Ash or Aaron are on MSM, they always trot out the MSM line.

I'm happy to #dontbuythesun anywhere I'd be happy to #DontTalkToTheSun anywhere. It's not press censorship, it's a reasonable mental health precaution.

Having a leader that respects regional sensibilities while still having to get their hands dirty is likely as close to principled *and* electable we can get. 'Boycott journalists and papers we don't like' it isn't smart for Labour to be the ones to set this precedent for Boris

Do you think it's smart to *pretend* to boycott the Sun while in Liverpool, and then say 'Just Kidding!' when safely back in London?

The more I see of Starmer the less impressed I am. He’s like the guy who applies for a job with a knock out CV but is totally underwhelming at interview.

Starmer is unelectable, so is not a viable candidate. He tried to stop Brexit, which means 17.4m voters will not vote Labour if he is leader. As it takes 10m-13m votes to win power it would be impossible for Labour to win power with Starmer as leader.
