The best argument for immigration is compassion. We need to stop taking "skilled work" which other countries have put resources into training. It's an easy out for our government who doesn't invest in education here. Free movement and points based are both models that cause this

We need to include a comprehensive education program into any immigration policy to train our own population so that we don't steal the investment that other states have put into their people. Then there's less demand for skilled work and we can focus on taking in refugees.
