You have stood against the Good Friday Agreement which John Hume took the most courageous of all steps to make happen. Plus your distain for the GFA during Brexit is why should remain silent and are not fit to utter his name.

Absolutely right, Ms Grant. Gove’s vulgar arrogance about the
@BelfastAgmt and his cavalier attitude to the peace and well-being Hume worked so hard to support makes him unfit to speak.

A sad loss. I knew him well as a colleague in the House; kind, thoughtful, caring and with a powerful towering passion for peace and understanding. He tried many times to help me in the peace process during the war against terrorism in Sri Lanka.
