That’s true, they only gave you since *checks notes* May to negotiate, after passing the CARES Act. I’m sure the virtual Military Academy Day and Congressional Motorcycle Caucus couldn’t have waited though.

Texans are angry that the
@GOP refused to make a deal with the Dems & left it up to Trump to offer a payroll tax deferral that is optional for employers, & a $300 cut in unemp benefits! Then, telling us the only way not to pay back p. Tax is if we vote for Trump. It’s devious! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Eliminating payroll taxes defunds Medicare and social security, and if deferred will need to be repaid ( garnished ) when jobs return, BTW, when did the Executive branch get control of the $ spent? Please do your job and pass bills that won’t hurt Americans.

You mean the
#CaresAct submitted to McConnell in May? Or are you referencing your party’s own inability to agree on a solution? And by 4 EOs, you really mean the 1 constitutionally dubius EO and 3 memoranda that defund#SocialSecurity and#Medicare ?pic.twitter.com/Ey9biibrACThanks. Both parties proposed bills they knew the other would oppose. It’s a show.
-
One proposed real solutions. The other proposed a bandaid on a severed leg.

1. Payroll taxes are deferred, and will most likely need to be paid back. They fund SS and Medicare. 2. The $400 come for the Disaster Relief Fund. Trump is just kicking in $300. Texans will foot the bill for the other $100
-
3. The EO does not ban evictions. It is suggested, and will be looked into. 4. Student debt interest is forgiven for a few months. There, I helped you with your misleading Tweet.

Reading through the comments, it would appear Rep. Burgess’ partisan lies are not fooling anyone on Twitter. BTW, he voted against the bipartisan bill passed in May that already extended unemployment benefits and provided relief for those facing eviction and foreclosure.
