Lot of Twitter defenses of the French Revolution that are akin to defending the German invasion of Poland by pointing to Adenauer.

Most people defending the French Revolution know very little about what followed.

More like defending it by pointing to the subsequent 5 decade Soviet occupation.

The French Revolution was a disaster because of how it proceeded. Give me a point in its course and I will defend what is necessary to ending it as quickly as possible. The key word is possible

Read Le Bon’s The Psychology of Revolution. Do it now. You can pick it up for free at Project Gutenberg or for like .99 cents for Kindle. This advice is for both sides of the ensuing debate.
