This weekend at a party, I went around asking people, what was their most controversial opinion among the others at that party? I took their opinion and I went around and asked others what they thought, stacking more opinions as I went. All opinions were agreed with by majority.
I've asked many people Thiel's question: "What important truth do very few people agree with you on?" Most people start with something rather bland. But point out that it's bland, or state a controversial opinion of your own, and they start to warm up...

I used to hire tons of people fresh out of college, years ago. One of my questions went: -Your grandparents were a bit racist, right? -Yeah. *embarrassed smile* -And your parents are homophobic? -Yeah. -Which of your cherished beliefs do you think your kids will find ridiculous?
