I like that Twitter threads put pressure on the author to make each sentence count. They're like an essay, but much less forgiving of slop.

Are there any good books/other content on how to write well you'd recommend?
I've read a heap. Benefited from pretty much all, but also none particularly stands out. Maybe Stephen King's "On Writing" or Anne Lammott's "Bird By Bird", or John McPhee's recent book on writing whose name I can never remember. (Good book, incredible writer, maybe a bad title.)
