Does anyone have sci-fi recommendations? I'm looking for strange/weird with intriguing ideas.

I’ve already read all the Gene Wolfe. Looking for newer stuff.

For strange/weird with intriguing ideas, try House of Suns by Alistair Reynolds, the Culture novels especially Player of Games, Schismatrix Plus by Bruce Sterling, Neverness by David Zindell, and Reality Dysfunction series by Peter Hamilton.

I've read everything published by Reynolds. All the Culture stuff, and the Hamilton stuff as well. Neverness I haven't heard of

Neverness is fantastic. It is followed by a trilogy, Requiem for Homo Sapiens, that I also enjoyed. Have you read Schismatrix?

I also thought Neverness (+ sequels) were interesting.
