Lesson/ Do things that you love in front of children. Let them *catch* the attitude that something like fixing bikes or sculpting or anything at all is fun. I wish we had far more multi-generational spaces in modern society.
Many organizations (and sometimes entire regions) have age windows. Looking outside that age window seems to be a superpower.
For instance, many organizations (eg many orchestras) typically have very elderly boards of directors. Finding and taking seriously a bundle of 20-30 year olds would seem like low hanging fruit.
In reverse, a lot of fast-growing startups hire almost entirely in the 20-35 age range. I suspect they could likely find 55 year olds who would provide incredibly high leverage for them.
