More cattle stealing, this time while a rancher was away getting married ("getting hitched is supposed to be the cheap bit"): http://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/cattle-herd-vanishes-in-devils-triangle/news-story/aee9820a97930fc426c9f50c3cbf0e3f …pic.twitter.com/rVvwpQTvPj
Note the size of the cattle station (AKA ranch) - 931,000 hectares = 3,600 square miles, about 70 times the size of San Francisco. The Australian outback is _huge_.pic.twitter.com/B1Ooq1SSQZ
How long were you there? I have this theory about small town folks...needs more anecdata.
I believe I was 5 & 6 while there. I'm not sure how long it actually was (< a year, though). I also lived for 2 years in another rural area - actually, we were simply on a property in the middle of nowhere, not even a town. So I lived for ~3 years in very rural areas.
Didn't know you were Aussie
The ocean looked like it was on the wrong side...I had to look at the map.
Didn't know you grew up in Qld, haha.
